Chalkboard Paint for Key Holders

I came across these key holder from a Dollar Shop which I thought would be great to hang in an empty wall.  But there was a problem, there was only one kind of design, with the same saying.

I knew I do not need only one, but at least three since there are three of us who have the house keys ( of course, me and my hubby have car keys but not my son ).  I thought I can’t hang the same kind with the same words on it.  But after a minute or two, I knew I had the solution to the problem…chalkboard paint!

The next day, I did start with my simple project.  The idea is to cover the word “laugh” in two holders so I have three different sayings.

I put masking tape in between the word laugh then I started painting.

One coating was enough since this is wood and so after allowing it to dry for at least 2 hours, then it was ready for me to write on

I replaced the word ‘laugh” with my favorite words, love and pray.

By the way, I have to give credit to my hubby who drilled and screwed on the wall for this simple chalkboard project of mine. So there you go folks, laugh, love and pray as long as you live and live with meaning and purpose.

God bless,
